Andres grew up in Havana (Cuba), in a very rich artistic environment with influences of afrocuban rhythms, son cubano, american rock, jazz, and flamenco.
At the age of eleven, he started learning classical guitar at the
conservatoire. As he turned twelve he began performing in competitions and small theaters through out Havana. Early on, he collected many premiums in several prestigious competitions.

He graduated as a classical guitarist and teacher at the Amadeo Roldan Conservatorio, at the age of 18.
He has been performing with many Cuban and international artists such as Aceituna sin Hueso (cuba), David Blanco (cuba), Duo Karma (cuba), Habana flamenca, Compania flamenca Ecos, Barbarito Torres, Jorge Pardo (spain), ElChato (france), Jose Fernandez (lebanon), Wadih al Safi (lebanon), Martires del Compas (spain), Maria Jose Santiago (spain) and others. He has also appeared on a large number of recordings together with Aceituna sin Hueso, David Blanco, Duo Karma, Habana Flamenca, and others from Cuba, also with El Chato (france), Wadih al Safi, Jose Fernandez (Lebanon).

More recently he performed and recorded with great percussionist from Lebanon Georges Barbar and Singer and song writer Kamal Kozah. He collaborated to a recording with Aceituna sin Hueso on the album Homenaje a Serrat, who was nominated to the latin Grammy in 2005.

He toured many times through out Lebanon and Jordan, performing in the most important theaters.
Among his guitar teachers, great maestros like Leo Brouwer, Joaquin Clerch (cuba) and Paco Jarana,Gerardo Nuñez, Jose Luis Rodriguez (spain).

Andres Vadin Valdes Ruiz carries on a dynamic career as flamenco guitar player, and masters the art combining sounds and techniques of Jazz and Cuban music.
